Welcome to our Church!
Our church is located in Tsunashima, Yokohama.
"Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost." - Romans 15:13
History
Our congregation is called “the Christ Congregation,” or "Kirisuto Shinto no Kai" in Japanese, and has five branches in Tokyo, Kyoto, Ogaki, and Morioka, in addition to Tsunashima, located in Yokohama. This congregation originated from the Protestant “Plymouth Brethren” that arose in England around 1845, and was born in Japan in 1922. The Yokohama branch, the Kirisuto (Christ) Fukuin Kaikan, was established in 1955 and became a religious corporation in 1985.
Our church is characterized by the fact that we do not have flowery decorations, and as the pastor of the congregation is Jesus Christ, we do not have a pastor, but a male Christian called “brother” conduct worship, prayer, and Bible study. We gather in the name of Jesus Christ and based on the words of the Bible, with the hope of being received into the new heaven and new earth of God to come. We also have congregations with connections around the world, including the United States and Canada.
